I have a iMac Rev:D and stuck two cheapo really-low-profile PC100-CL2 256MB SODIMM in thinking how smart I was. The iMac only recognized 128MB from each! I only got 256MB instead of the expected 512MB. I tried these out on my office Dell wintel notebook and it refused to start -- these were terrible chips. I ended up getting another better quality and slightly more expensive set that work fine. I am happy with my 512MB, The flakey chips are sitting in the drawer and I have gotten smarter. BTW, I also replaced the 6GB with an IBM 120GB and I am all smiles :-) Then got a used Harmoni 600MHz w/Firewire and I am all bigger smiles :-D Hoping a 20GB iPod will be in the stocking for xmas.
