thanks to all for their suggested input. i was told by an apple dealer that getting more then 192 on a rev a imac was impossible so i put the 256 in a ibook i am using at work.
next question. what is the latest firmware release for my rev a imac? and how do i tell what release is currently installed. thanks for the comments so far. i got more from this list then the apple rep.
