Yes, you will have to take it to the shop for any repairs.
No charge for repair parts or labor.

You should refer to the AppleCare Quick Reference Card for the basic 
troubleshooting steps. If the steps do not resolve the issue you need 
to call 1-800-APL-CARE  and explain to the rep what the problem is. 
He/she will have you do some troubleshooting while on the phone to try 
and resolve the trouble. If there is no fix on the phone they will 
assign you a case number and direct you to the nearest Apple repair 
facility.
Be aware that when you call Apple, you will be asked to supply your 
AppleCare Protection Agreement number or your Apple product serial 
number, (if still under the 1 year warranty).
