In my nervous hands I now hold a hermetically sealed box of X.2, Jaguar that was delivered today. I decided to take the plunge and am seeking YOUR support and guidance before I do so, lol. I have been reluctant to switch OS systems because everything on the May iMac worked so well, why rock the boat? BUT here I am. (Okay the real reason is to keep me occupied to avoid the rest of the relatives on Turkey Day!) These are the things I will do before installing: please comment if you have other suggestions or comments:
1. Save all important files, documents, programs into external firewire drive. 2. Wipe the hard drive (I have heard this is best when installing X.2) 3. Install 9.2.2 that came with the iMac. 4. Install X.2 5. Install from the software CD the iMac (Appleworks, iDVD, etc.) 6. Download and install updates to Jaguar/reinstall other aps hmm...anything else?
