I have some questions that I hope someone can answer. I will be needing to transfer some saved in a folder emails over to my new PC running Windows XP. I'm on a bondi blue IMAC running 9.0.4. I have StuffIt 5.1.4 on this machine. What will the PC need in order to open my .sit files?
Most of the files are either in AOL email format or saved as text. Can I send as is or will I need to add .txt or something to each one I attach? Would I be able to just attach the whole folder or should I do each email or text file individually? Will it make any difference if I am on AOL 7.0 on the Windows machine and AOL 5.0 on the IMAC?? I hope these are not dumb questions; this is my first PC and the IMAC was inherited so I was not the one who originally set it up. (Believe me, I'd rather just stick to my MAC which I know & love but circumstances beyond my control require the PC as well.) One more question: is this the best way to do this or can I put these files on a PC formatted floppy and be able to open them on the PC with no trouble? Much thanks in advance for any help!
