Aladdin Expander (freeware, same as Stuffit Expander, but for Windows) will expand .sit files. http://versiontracker.com/moreinfo.fcgi?id=19140&db=win http://www.stuffit.com/expander/winindex.html >Most of the files are either in AOL email format or saved as text. Can I >send as is or will I need to add .txt or something to each one I attach? >Would I be able to just attach the whole folder or should I do each email or >text file individually? The safest thing is always to put on the appropriate ending for a file type - .txt for text files, I have NO IDEA for AOL. One way to handle this, if everything in one folder is the same type, you might have a script called "Add Prefix/Suffix to Files" which does the trick - I do (8.5 upgraded to 8.6 - I think it was in the original 8.5), in the scripts folder in my system folder. (Note - I've found running the applescript does NOT work IF you have a file or folder highlighted, so make sure nothing's selected in the finder before running this script!) Or a search on Versiontracker gave me a couple freeware solutions that you might find helpful: http://www.versiontracker.com/moreinfo.fcgi?id=8224&db=mac http://www.versiontracker.com/moreinfo.fcgi?id=3081&db=mac There are probably tons more of this sort of little app out there, as it's a common problem.
