I have a iMac, Rev. B that has I believe the Analog Video Board failure problem. It makes the monitor startup noise from either power button on the front of the case or the keyboard. It glows amber for maybe a second or so then goes out, followed by an acrid electrical smell. Am I interpreting things correctly? I'm a Lan Analyst on the PC side and it's been awhile since I did hdw troubleshooting! Any help would be appreciated. This and a 7500 will be my return to Mac's journey machines! I'll probably run Yellow Dog Linux on the 7500 and 8.6 on the iMac till I can upgrade to a G4 card and go Jaguar.... Thanks, Gareth
