I think what they meant was that you can record pictures of
things that are being viewed. The focal length is around
29 mm, so it works very poorly as a camera, though you
*can* distinguish things very fuzzily at longer distances.
Perhaps you could work out some kind of additional lens
to let this function as a web cam, but there wasn't
anything in the package to do it.
