This isn't Mac-specific, but I think it will appeal
to some folks on the list....

I just got one of these the other day from a web
site that's selling them for $50. I highly recommend
it for anyone with kids (or who likes gizmos). It's
powered off USB, so just one connection, and it
works great, especially for the price. I think it would
be pretty slick for elementary or secondary education,
too. It's designed to work on a PeeCee, but there is
an OS X driver now (available through the Apple site).
I don't think there's a driver for OS 9. I sure wish I'd
had one when I was a kid!

I got it from these folks and it was here in a week
(I was a little concerned since some reports said it
was discontinued): http://www.compuvisor.com/digbluqx3usb.html

Some reviews and things.
