i beg to differ. i have been a tech since the macs where born. and even
earlier. i have used norton to do repair and data recover for all of that
time. i have recommend that people buy norton for there home macs.

i have lost some things with it. but probably would have lost things with
the others. i have used other repair programs over that time with success
and failures as well.

i find the tech is only as good as his experiences and his failures.

in all my years of being a tech , i have found out one major thing. that
some people, techs and users say things that believe is the right answer
only because its the one the found themselves.

i am currently using norton, diskwarrior, techtools on one cd. i think
norton does mess up osx but have yet to properly spend the time to see if it
was a one time glitch or a recurring thing.

that being said i respect your oppinion as a long time apple tech and
accept your oppinion as you see it.

my two cents that is all
