People are sometimes quick to point out pirating. I've been able to deal with this issue theoretically because I haven't yet bothered to use P2P and haven't even learned to efficiently burn cds. Copyright law has unfortunately been reinterpreted as serving private interests rather than the public good and has gotten so far away from serving the public good in favor of serving private interests that public libraries are endangered. I suppose it's in everyone's interest for the list not to be seen as promoting piracy just in case Big Brother takes note of our discussions. An "open content" discussion is way off topic, but open content is good for society and apparently the people out there see P2P in a similar light as VCR recording of tv.
