There's a lot of stuff that was issued on vinyl that's not available on CD
anywhere anymore, and a lot that has never been issued on CD ever. That's
the kind of thing I download - either something I already own on vinyl, or
really obscure stuff that's not (and never has been) available commercially
anywhere. I've got some audio (from a company that owns a couple of major
labels, a film studio, theme parks, and a television network) that you
simply cannot buy anywhere. Period. It just doesn't exist commercially,
and has never been released to the public. Only through fan trading over
the net was I able to obtain it.

Now - if it is something that's out of print, how would downloading/trading
on the net be any different than purchasing a used copy at a flea market, if
you can't buy it in stores?
