Does anyone know how to get Video CD's to playback in OS X with QuickTime? I have an iMac DV SE, so I have DVD drive in it if it helps.
They play fine when booted into OS 9 and previous. There I just start QuickTime, and then manually open the DAT file in the MPEGAV folder on a Video CD. I've been doing that for some time without a problem. But with OS X, QuickTime complains that the file is in an unknown format and refuses to open it. Is there any way around this? I don't want to have to use a standalone VCD player like MacVCD-X, which does work just fine, so clearly OS X is capable of playing the VCD. Is there something I can do in OS X to get QuickTime to play a VCD? -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
