I found lots of info about a "Green Light of Death" for the iMac. They
all seemed to indicate it was the flyback transformer that was bad, and
that a simple fix was to bypass the internal video (either via a normal
external video port, or by disconnecting the internal video inside
earlier iMacs).

I also found links that discuss a "Green Light of Death" for other Apple
items, so I don't think the description is limited to just iMacs.

And I found a few links for an "Orange Light of Death", but no definitive
answer as to what was wrong.

What is the modification to the power actuation button that is done for
later iMacs? Although this one is a Rev A, I'd be curious to see if the
fix is somethign that can be applied to this model.
