Transfer of old VHS-C video to DVD

I want to transfer VHS-C to DVD.  I have my old camcorder which is 
still working.  I have a 17" iMac with 10.2.8 with iMovie and iDVD but 
I've had trouble learning them in limited tries.  How hard is it if i 
really try?  What kind of equipment/cables do I need?  Is there a 
reliable service on the web that's not too expensive?  My local camera 
store has a sign indicating a Kodak product but the sales staff seems 
clueless and I can't find anything on Kodak's website.  Any websites 
helpful here?  Do I need Toast if I try to do myself?
