BEFORE you make a statement like that, you need to take into account the
time spent erasing CDRW's, the increased fail rate, the increased write
time, and also consider that most CD's are for permanent or semi-permanent
storage. There would be only a small percentage that will be re-written, but
for all of them the increased time will amount to something. Now with the
time I save, I can walk to work. Getting exercise, saving gas, reducing
pollution and the carbon placed into the air.

Not a very simple equation - certainly not simple enough to justify a
flippant comment about disregard of the environment.
