I don't care whether Carmen is 10 or 100 years old, the point remains that most of his emails are just bordering on spam. I am also slightly annoyed by the noise generated on this list the last couple of days, and your questions at this point seem just asking for more. And whatever soft spots we might or might not have for kids his age, I don't think it's a good idea to turn this list into proving ground for Carmen.
It's got nothing to do with turning it into a proving ground. My questions
were simply an attempt to draw Carmen into a productive discussion - and
teach him how to engage in appropriate netiquette along the way. How is
that wrong ?
If he's a troll - so be it - he'll get bored and move on but attacking each
other is not going to help matters. That's what trolls thrive on. Don't
make any more complaints about his spam or noise or whatever else you feel
he's doing to bother you and hit the delete key.
If he's legit, he will eventually learn to participate more appropriately in
these types of discussion forums with some tolerance and assistance from the
adults here.
