I am a little concerned about software compatibility. Are you saying you had to reinstall your OS in order to make it function correctly?

Negative side: It only comes with 2mg of RAM so it's important to buy a
32mg RAM chip ASAP to bring the memory up to 34mg. It only prints to one
side, (will print both sides using Windoze). It's not really a CUPS
printer but the latest driver from Brother does enable most CUPS features
which may or may not be important to you. There was a problem with OSX
10.3.7 where the printer would not be recognized and I had to reload the
OS in archive mode. Seems to have been a Apple problem which the latest
patch seems to have fixed.
