Wouldn't this method put multiple copies of tunes on the same computer as well as requiring periodic updating if users loaded additional tunes into their iTunes library?
Ignore. The advice given so far has not been correct.
Should you, for some reason, not have your iTunes folder centrally located in your /Users/Shared folder, then just move it there and make an alias (aka "shortcut") of that folder. Put the alias in YOUR music folder (/Users/(yourname)/Music).
Now log out as you, log in as the other user, and make another alias of the iTunes folder in Shared, only this time put the alias in THEIR Music folder (/Users/[theirname]/Music). Repeat for other users as needed.
