I've been running 192M since '99, and it was working fine with 384M (sent the bad 256 back for replacement)on the original cpu board for several days. I could switch back and forth between OSX and 9.2.2, run IE, word processing, etc. The problem occurred when I tried to substitute my old 9.2 system folder back in for the new one. I'll bet you can't do that! OOPS! Anyhow, I have read cryptic notes in various places about the iMac getting into states that are "very difficult" to get out of. I fear I have blundered into one of those.
