Well, I just thought I had to add my $0.02 here.... I was a PC user up until 2001 when I switched over to Mac. I had been right clicking and left clicking for years to the point where my right index finger is now actually mis-shapen (bent upwards). I used to get excruciating pain in my right hand and forearm after hours of using my PC....since switching to the Mac and the single button mouse, this has all gone away. No more pain. My finger is still bent...and I guess it'll stay that way, but using Apple's single button mouse has really made my computing experience much more pleasant.

I feel they really should develop a "power user" mouse as an option.

The one-button mouse *is* a "power user" mouse. Of course, I guess it all depends on how you define "power user".

There are already 3rd party mice available with umpteen buttons, scroll wheels, massaging vibrators, and hand warming circuits. Why should Apple rip off those markets? Leave them to 3rd parties.

The current design of having the whole mouse as a button is
annoying to me, as anytime I relax my wrist, I accidentally click on
something I didn't mean to.

Perhaps you're sitting too high or too low (ie, bad wrist angle)? Or perhaps you need a smaller mouse for your hand size? I've never had this problem with any Apple mouse.

My question is, are there any USB mice available that have the two buttons
and scroll wheel that are also Mac-compatible?

There are dozens available. The primary ones are from companies like Kensington, Logitec, and MacAlley. Go to Microcenter, Outpost, MacMall, etc.
