Any help?
Interested in how this works out, so please keep me informed. Assuming
the proxy server is running NT? You should be able to setup a SSH
tunnel and there are various OS X programs to do so. I suspect howevere
you will have a problem with FTP even in passive mode. Someone did
write Java program which might work so check the following sites for
starts.

Here is how I setup a SSH tunnel for IMAP mail. Assuming that the
server you are connecting to allows it. In your mail program change the
incoming IMAP server name to "localhost" without quotes. Set the
incoming mail port to something higher then 1024 or else you'll have to
be root. I'll use 5110 in this example. I also use the -v option for
debug purposes. Open up a terminal window and type "ssh -L
5110:mail.eskimo.com:143 -v eskimo.com" Replace the mail.eskimo.com
with your incoming IMAP server name. If doing this with POP use the
correct server name and change the 143 to 110. Replace the final
eskimo.com with the appropriate server name running SSH for
authentication, and no quotes. Press the return, (you need to be
connected), and wait for the passwd prompt. Enter your personal passwd
for your mail, (that will be transmitted encrypted via the SSH tunnel).
Once the session is in place minimize or hide the terminal window and
start your mail program.
When ready to disconnect from mail bring up the terminal window and
then press (Control-C) followed by (Control-D), then close the terminal
window and quit the mail program.
Hope this helps since I don't use Windoze at all. I'm also fairly
certain that if the server you are connecting too is running XP
Professional that none of this is going to work since the latest
security update for XP disables most functions of the TCP socket.
Again, please let me know how you got past the proxy, especially the
FTP.
