We have an OS 9 network attached to a G4 server at work. We ran a
couple of OS X computers with limited success. We could see them, but
then if we created aliases based on shared folders, they would stop
working.

But the big problem is that lately, the OS X computers just hang when
trying to connect to the OS 9 server.

I even disconnected appletalk, but the connection dialog box still comes up.

Any ideas on how to fix this? I would be happy to just have appletalk
disconnected and transfer files through our ftp server, but
disconnecting appletalk doesn't stop the client from trying to
connect.

Thanks
Tom
