Did you hold down the "C" key while booting up the computer. This
is what tells the computer to try to boot from the CD rather than
the hard drive.
If you can get the computer to boot from the CD, then look in the
upper menu for the Reset Password command ... do NOT just go along
with the OS Install process.
I have tried this on 2 different Macs & it didn't work.
