Well, I took all of the suggestions and tried them. (Thank you!)
Unfortunately, I could not get into the iMac whatsoever (booting by
CD didn't work, PRAM stuff didn't work, etc.) So now, unless anyone
has any other suggestions on how to unlock this iMac, I have a 700
mhz paperweight. Good thing it was free, huh?
I might part it out if anyone's interested or send it along to
someone else if they'd like to take a crack at it!

Pull the hard drive and put it into an external case. Use another
computer to reformat and reinstall an OS.
