Have been wondering what all this "wireless" hype is about. Have a Mac iBook, G3 with Airport, installed.
One of my friends, who insists on a Dell PC laptop being the greatest thing in the world (His employer simply replaces his with another when it fails, which seems to be every six months or so) thought he could access my Airport Extreme system, to no avail, His Palm Pilot knew it was there however it too baulked at using same. So is WiFi ONLY for owners of Windows based PC's and not for Macs? Where does Airport Extreme come into this? Are we Mac owners limited by machine design or do we need to add something to our laptops in order to do WiFi? Mind given all the snoops these days intercepting all form and manner of communications, might really want to think otherwise about WiFi...but am just curious.
