I'm looking at getting my first iPod and I like the new 60GB color one. My only problem is my G3/400 DV Firewire iMac has this software:-
OSX 10.1.5 iTunes 4.7.1 QuickTime 6.3.1 iPhoto 2.0 Can any owners of this particular iPod confirm if it will work with my software setup? (Apple's site seems to indicate a minimum of OSX 10.2.8 for the iPod Photo software 1.1 for this iPod - please confirm). Can I install OLDER iPod software onto the newest iPod to make it compatible with my setup, or does anyone have a newer OSX disc they could maybe sell me? On a sidenote, is anyone getting good results with an FM transmitter thing to play the iPod through the car radio? Kensington are saying that theirs is the best - are there any satisfied users out there? Apologies if I'm asking the impossible, it's just that I'm a newbie to the iPod experience - all I know is that it looks look really cool and I'd like to be able to get one to work with my current setup without too much hassle or software expense.
