This is an easy one. In the International preference pane you have a
24-hour time format set. When this is set, the Clock view will not let
you display AM/PM. Set the International pane to 12-hour time and you
will be able to display AM/PM.
But the MAIN problem I have is that after just 2 minutes of booting up
in
10.4.2, a notice comes up that says I have to reboot and the mouse is
locked. The only third party "extension" I have loaded is Kensington
5.2
because I use their TurboBall. (It works fine in OS9). I ran Disk
Utility to
repair any disk permissions (?) and it found a couple.....and then I
had to
reboot again.
Perhaps that driver is incompatible with Tiger? Have you checked for a
newer driver from Kensington? Have you tried operating without a
driver altogether?
Please advise how I can enjoy my OSX 10.4.2 investment for longer than
2
minutes! It looks rather snazzy.....until it says "restart". Is there
a way
to rebuild the desktop on OSX 10.4.2?
OS X does not have a "rebuild the desktop" function - this is an
Classic-only issue.
