I've just installed OSX 10.4.2 onto my G3 iMac DV (320 megs of Ram) after
years of trouble-free OS 9.2.2.

The menu clock option for "display AM/PM" is greyed out and I can't select
it. Any help please?

But the MAIN problem I have is that after just 2 minutes of booting up in
10.4.2, a notice comes up that says I have to reboot and the mouse is
locked. The only third party "extension" I have loaded is Kensington 5.2
because I use their TurboBall. (It works fine in OS9). I ran Disk Utility to
repair any disk permissions (?) and it found a couple.....and then I had to
reboot again.

Please advise how I can enjoy my OSX 10.4.2 investment for longer than 2
minutes! It looks rather snazzy.....until it says "restart". Is there a way
to rebuild the desktop on OSX 10.4.2?

Thanks!!!

Kev (sending this Email on OS 9.2.2......because it took me longer than 2
minutes to type it all).
