Hi All,
My lovely old iMac g3 DVSE graphite is showing her age, I'm afraid.
The DVD ROM doesn't like some discs, is very slow to read them, IF it
swallows them at all!
Sometimes it just whirs and the disc does not go in and I give it a
gentle shove!
Used a cleaning disc but it has not helped. I do have an outboard
firewire cd burner/reader, now...so, do I need to worry about having a
dvd rom that works???
How hard are these to replace, and if I'm in there should I replace the
original HD, too?
Thanks for your thoughts.
