My G3 iMac DV runs Tiger fine until I connect my external Lacie firewire
drive then *bang* the computer asks for a reboot after 2 minutes. I've
updated the Lacie firmware and ran Disk Utility during an OSX problem-free
"Safe Boot" where the external drive funtions faultlessly. I also have OS
9.2.2 on both drives and with Drive Setup it says the Lacie firewire disc is
"unsupported". Could it be that I need to have Apple's standard driver
installed on the firewire drive, and how can I do this without reformatting?
I've disabled Lacie's Silverlining Driver from the firewire drive but it
still crashes my OSX system if I connect it. Works fine in OS9.2.2.
