Hi, i hava a 600 mhz.
250mb. panther, DSL connection on a graphite imac
and want to connect a webcam, what options do i have besides isight?

Well, if you're interested in quality, then you really don't have much in the way of options. iSight simply has NO competition in the webcam market.

Your biggest problem is that G3 processor -- you're not likely to get good results regardless of what you buy short of a newer computer.

That said, there ARE other Firewire cams, and there's even a program called iChatUSBCam or something like that that allows USB webcams (which truly suck, btw) to be used. Don't expect much.

and
do i have the equipment for it??

See above.

, i whant to be able to check on my mom
once in a while, she has a Win machine.

To use iChat to communicate with your mom, she MUST be using AIM 5.5 (or whatever the current version is) for Windows. Nothing else will work.

Cheers
Chas
