>My eMac will play some DVDs but not others. I'm using OS 10.3.9. Store bought, or home brew?
The Mac's DVD Player has problems with some home brew DVDs. In particular, it doesn't like +R discs very much. I never had a store bought DVD fail to play in my iMac under OS X when I used to use it. But that was a while ago, and some of the production companies are doing strange things for copy protection these days (like Sony that puts defective titles in their movies to keep ripping software from being able to read past them). It is possible some of the copy protection is not compatible with Apple's DVD Player software. -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
