definitely wont matter is the replacement a 5400rpm or 7200rpm drive? if you are worried about heat use a 5400rpm drive unless the mac sits on a pizza oven you will be fine.... ;^) just be sure all vents are clear, allowing the mac to breath should be a consideration whether you replace the hdd or not. -- I'm a PC AND I RUN LINUX!!!
