definitely wont matter

is the replacement a 5400rpm or 7200rpm drive?
if you are worried about heat use a 5400rpm drive

unless the mac sits on a pizza oven you will be fine.... ;^)

just be sure all vents are clear,
allowing the mac to breath should be a consideration whether you
replace the hdd or not.
