i just picked up a Snow iMac G3 for $30. Right now it's running
Jaguar and I would like to upgrade it to Tiger. Of course this is a
problem since the iMac only has a CD ROM in it. I may decide to
upgrade the drive, but for now I''d be fine with just sticking with
the CD drive in it now. So what's the best way I can go about
upgrading?

Ideas I've had so far:
1. take the hard drive out of the iMac, put it in my B&W which has a
DVD drive install Tiger there, then reinstall in the iMac.

2. Try to boot in to firewire using my B&W or iBook and install like
that.

Any better ideas?
TIA,
Brian
