I can only clarify about the drives: SATA II, 1.5GBPS, 3.0GBPS, wahtever, It's still SATA, it'll still work. To be safe, go with a SATA2\II\3.0GBPS drive, it'll be useable if you upgrade, and if it's able to support it.
