All models of the G5 iMacs were manufactured in the time of the Great Capacitor
Plague, it's a crapshoot whether they'll have problems or not.

Intel-based iMacs were manufactured after the problems with capacitors were
rectified, and have been, in our exeprience, quite trouble-free

However, PPC Macs are a dead end, and getting deader every day; unless the G5
literally falls into your lap, spend the extra bucks and get an intel iMac or
Mini.
