I was recently given a 17" G4 iMac. It's a cute little machine, but didn't come with any speakers. I'm see that speakers abound on eBay, but I'm noticing some of them seem to have clear plastic grills with 3 large holes over the front of the speaker.
Now I'm curious. Was this how they were manufactured and most speakers have had them break or lost over the years or was this an aftermarket option?
