You should have:

an A record for www.domain.com pointing to the IP address for the www
system
an A record for mail.domain.com pointint to the IP address for the mail
system
an MX record for domain.com pointing to mail.domain.com with priority 1

Imail should be configured with the primary domain to be domain.com with
an alias of mail.domain.com

Be sure the proper IP bindings are chosen in both IIS and Imail.

IIS does not default to a specific IP binding.. Be sure to go into
properties in IIS and choose the specific IP address.
