Any idea whether there is a work around, or do we have to lump it?

The regular Imail web interface does this as well. Also the web interface
does not properly display html mail with complex tables. My guess is that
it has do with the display formatting and the browsers interpretation of
tables. This may be another area where a frame would be of benefit.
