may be what happened to us a few months ago. without any notification from
AOL, they decided that we were a "non-commercial" user (based on the way our
IP address's name was resolved (home.net - they provide one of our t1's).
due to the traffic they just assume that no non-commerical user should
generate that amount of traffic (must be spam) so they added our IP to their
BLOCKED LIST...
if this sounds anything like what may be happening to you, i'll dig around
and find the engineer's number at AOL. it took us two solid weeks to find
her in their corporated maze...

let's see you logs where Imail "SMTPD" log lines can't send to
AOL. The error msg or SMTP reponse code should tell why AOL is
rejecting. There is also "ignore source address" option in "smtp
security" which is kind of the "AOL setting".
