I do not believe the above statement is true.
We operate with 30,000 users probably around 3,000 very active
users at least (depending on how you define it). All in the Imail
DB. No problems at all and no slowness. The registry does not
get that big. We tested odbc using access and no thanks - it will
not handle anything near that load - for sql server we would need a
second box just to run it.
We were scared around 15,000 and researched it and decided to
stick with the imail db. We did write some scripts to edit things in
the registry - but we would have had to do something similar if we
used any other source as well.
