I NEVER recommend product upgrades, I prefer clean as well. Upgrades leave
to many holes and reminants and offer to many possible problems over clean
installs.
Check you hardware, and the software you run now make sure they are
compatible and make sure you can get any needed drivers before you take a
system down. I love 2k as well...but if your not ready for it and havn't
read thru some installs or tried it firsthand you should do so to avoid any
troubles. My advice...Setup a Lab...Just a single machine if it need be, and
do a simulated install, test your apps, and make sure your ready, then do a
CLEAN install on the existing. In the environment I'm often called to work
on, the pre-deployment app testing is very important as many of the apps are
not quite mainstream for compatability...but do their jobs really well under
NT 4.
