The account name is hugh, so it shouldn’t be that.

 

My problem at this point is that he has created a bunch of folders via the web interface, so if I delete everything that would be a major pain.

 

As a start, if I copy the files, delete everything, and re-create the account, will I be able to manually copy files back and have them recognized? Will the folders he created be automatically picked up, or will those need to be recreated? Of course as you say, one of those folders is probably corrupted, but if I don’t have to start from zero, that would be great.

Paul,

 

Sounds like a corrupt user file or directory. Can you try deleting the user, making sure the user's directory and files are deleted, and then adding him back? (Saving all important mail to a POP client or something first, of course.)

 

Also, let us know the user's account name, just in case it's a unique string of characters that is somehow causing the problem.
