This depends greatly on mailbox acesss method: pop / imap / webmail, for any given total users. The latter two being much heavier consumers of resources, than pop. ime, most Imail boxes are essentially doing nothing, with under 10% average utilization during peak hours. This is fact that Scott/Declude exploits cleverly, using those idle mips for AV and anti-spam work. If your box starts feeling sluggish, I suggest you look at a multi-box solution, ie, adding IMGate "out front", to off-load in/out with Internet, while protecting your box from spam, attacks, abuse, whatever. This will give you some more months on your current Imail box until it hits that sluggish point again.
