Chet, Why is the autoload of the first message a serious security issue? Just curious. That's the way Outlook works. And if you turn off the preview panel in Outlook, all messages open in a popup, too.
Anyway, you can try disabling the location.href directive in the myLoad JS function found in the msgsum.html file with two forward slashes in front of the line, like this: //parent.previewFrame.location.href="rmail....
