When we were setting up our LDAP directory we set some ou values to 1 character values (example of 1 for first grade).
We kept having inconsistant results returned. Finally figured out that the one character attributes were causing a problem. Change all the fields we were keeping to minimal 2 character values (I think it was only the ou value) and we got successful returns... Thinking about it, I also think we had problems with the base setting i in KWM of the search for all fields. I have modified our search base and taken the 'All Fields' entry off. If I remember right, it may have been error 81 as well. Start ldap and do the search by not selecting 'All Fields' and see if that helps... bob On Thursday, January 10, 2002 5:03 PM, Wilson, Scott D <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >Because Active Directory is binding to port 389 I used 500 like the >Knowledge Base suggested.
