We're working (on a test system) to set up an external database using SQL 7. Here's the setup:
Datasource: IMAILSECDB dB Name: IMAILSECDB Table Name: IMAILSECDB Username: imail Password: password The configuration in IMail is as follows: External Database Implementation DLL: d:\IMail\odbcuser.dll ODBC System Data Source Name: IMAILSECDB; UID=imail; PWD=password (as instructed by the manual) Table Name: IMAILSECDB The problem is that whenever I try to add a user, the program adds the username to the list, but I cannot log in using that username nor does it show up in the database. If I do a refresh, the user disappears. Also, if I add a user to the database manually and restart the IMAIL Administrator it does not show up and I cannot log in under any of these circumstances. Any ideas on why this doesn't work? Let me know if you need further information to diagnose. Robert A.
