Robert,

TeamSpan will be a product targeted for intranet users, not internet
users. It's quite common to limit intranet products to one or a few
browser versions, since you're able to communicate that requirement with
the end users.

Regarding internet use, according to most data I've seen, Netscape v4x is
currently at about 8-10% and dropping precipitously. How low will it have
to go before you stop spending 50% of your development time trying to
workaround all its bugs and incompatibilities? For us, that answer is
*very* low for internet products... at least another year or two. But for
intranet products, which are loaded with more advanced features, it just
doesn't make sense to support that now-marginal platform. Making wise
development decisions based on the end-user profile is not "silly", nor do
we take it lightly.
