Question, Will it be using asp or asp.net?

Please spend that time adding features that the masses want and can use!! Greatly anticipating the release of TeamSpan!! It just saves the client tons of time & monty, and the developer lots of headaches. --Darin -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of Ron Hornbaker Sent: Tuesday, April 30, 2002 4:44 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [imail] Standalone IIS based webmail Robert, TeamSpan will be a product targeted for intranet users, not internet users. It's quite common to limit intranet products to one or a few browser versions, since you're able to communicate that requirement with the end users. Regarding internet use, according to most data I've seen, Netscape v4x is currently at about 8-10% and dropping precipitously. How low will it have to go before you stop spending 50% of your development time trying to workaround all its bugs and incompatibilities? For us, that answer is *very* low for internet products... at least another year or two. But for intranet products, which are loaded with more advanced features, it just doesn't make sense to support that now-marginal platform. Making wise development decisions based on the end-user profile is not "silly", nor do we take it lightly. -Ron > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of > Robert Jones > Sent: Tuesday, April 30, 2002 4:24 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: RE: [imail] Standalone IIS based webmail > > > The following comments assume that by NS4 you are referring to > Netscape v.4: > > Why would you (read "your company") develop a product that is not > compatible with Netscape?
